What´s Given?

The Given garment was originally designed as a "big brother" to the classic NAVAL. The stripes have been made wider, but still follow the same logic and proportions.

What makes this garment stand out is the use of two different types of wool yarn - the classic "virgin wool" and the finer "fine merino wool". 

The garment is knitted using a plating technique, which allows control with the process, so that the soft and delicate merino wool is placed on the inside, while the more robust and resistant virgin wool is placed on the outside.

This creates a more comfortable wearing experience, even against bare skin, without sacrificing durability on the outside. There is a shift between the two different knitting styles - sections of 1x1 ribbing meet sections of "Milano knit". 

The Milano knit has a finely nubbed surface, adding depth to the color and making it contrast more with the smooth sections.
