ALDEN - Indy Boot 403 - Brown Chromexcel
Alden Shoe Company was founded in 1884 and the 405 or Indy Boot has been around nearly forever. Original called 405 but when Harrison Ford was casted for the film "Raiders of the Lost Ark" from 1981, he was insisting on wearing his old boots from his carpenter days, - the 405, and not long after, Alden changed the name to Alden Indy.
Original a working boot, but now more known as a rugged casual boot. The fit, using the Trubalance Last in D width, meaning the forefoot is D and the heel is B, but it is actually a bit roomier in the forefoot, if you are normally using a D width in other US brands.
This Indy version is 403 in the leather Chromexcel Cowhide from Horween Tannery in Chicago. Records from Horween shows the first cxl leather was made in 1907.
