IHSH-444-IND Indigo Cotton/Linen shirt....

The classic western shirt, cut from a lightweight 7oz cotton/linen chambray. By blending 65% cotton and 35% linen, this creates a softer, more breathable chambray fabric while maintaining the rugged characteristics expected of an Iron Heart fabric. The warp yarns are indigo-dyed and paired with a 100% linen light grey weft, giving the fabric a dark indigo hue when new, which will lighten and fade with beautiful vintage character as the shirt ages.

This model features all the hallmarks of the Iron Hearts western shirt cut — black snap fastenings, a chest flap-down chest pockets, and western-style yokes — finished with contrast stitching and internal yellow bobbin thread for a subtle splash of colour.

- Indigo rope-dyed warpIn weaving, the weft is the term for the thread or yarn which is drawn through the warp yarns to create cloth. Warp is the lengthwise or longitudinal thread in a roll, while the weft is the transverse thread. A single thread of the weft, crossing the warp, is called a pick. Terms do vary (for instance, in North America, the weft is sometimes referred to as the fill or the filling yarn). / 100% linen top-dyedTop dyeing is the process of dyeing cotton, wool, or synthetic fibres after combing and straightening to remove short fibres, but before spinning into yarn.
