In 2024, we at Brund Jeans & Boots are proud to celebrate our twentieth anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, we honour our long-time partnership with Red Wing by reimagining one of the most iconic boots of all time: the Red Wing 875.
The Project
Our project, titled "Re-working an Icon," focuses on respecting the heritage of the Red Wing brand, our city Copenhagen, and the classic 875 boot. Together with our trusted cobbler, we explored various ideas while keeping these values at the core.
The Outcome
The 875-Brund is a reimagined version of the original 875. It features a 3 mm leather midsole for added comfort and durability. We've enhanced its look and performance with the Super Grip sole from Taiwanese artisans Dr. Sole Originals, alongside a stacked leather heel equipped with a Super Grip half heel. For a touch of refinement, we added three chrome speedhooks and polished the boots for a richer colour tone. Custom leather laces complete the transformation.

Red Wing Shoes are listed in US sizes. The width of the 875 is D and it is made using last no. 23. As they run a bit big, we recommend sizing down half a size from your sneaker-size.
