S510SC-KI SAMURAI COTTON KINARI REGULAR STRAIGHT JEANS

These ecru regular straight jeans are made from a blend that includes Samurai's exclusive organic cotton, grown in Hyogo, Japan.

The tightly twisted yarn provides a firm, textured feel and retains natural leaf and stem fragments, preserving the authentic character of Samurai Cotton. Unlike typical white denim, the yarn is left undyed and unbleached to maintain the genuine "kinari" look and feel.

Crafted from rare 18oz Kinari selvedge denim featuring slub and nep details, these jeans are factory washed to enhance texture. They showcase an earthy brown Selvedge ID, a medium rise, slim straight cut, and signature cotton jacquard pockets.

Accented with "Hinode" Rising Sun iron buttons, copper rivets, a sheepskin leather patch, and raised belt loops, these jeans combine traditional craftsmanship with natural beauty.

Woven on vintage shuttle looms, the fabric’s heavy, uneven texture and unique kinari color reflect the purity and artistry of the cotton fibers.

Meticulously handcrafted in Japan, these jeans celebrate the raw elegance of unprocessed cotton.

The Samurai Cotton Project

The Samurai Cotton Project focuses on restoring traditional techniques for producing 100% organic, domestically grown cotton garments. By cultivating and hand-harvesting the cotton themselves, they ensure exceptional craftsmanship despite significant practical challenges.

Since the 1970s, Japan’s cotton production sharply declined, increasing dependence on imports and modern chemical-intensive methods that raise health and environmental concerns. Committed to the philosophy of "making things in Japan, for Japan, in the Japanese way," the project seeks to revive traditional pride and preserve these vital skills for future generations.

Its long-term mission is to reestablish sustainable practices that honor tradition, quality, and environmental stewardship, reshaping the future of clothing production and consumption
