Samurai have gone above and beyond in the pursuit of creating a truly premium-feeling tee, with absolutely no corners cut from start to finish. The yarns are composed of Samurai's homegrown cotton yarns, which are grown on a small farm in the sleepy town of Sasayama, Hyogo. The cotton itself is grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers and the planting, weeding and picking are all done by Samurai team members, along with family and friends of the brand.
Growing cotton in this type of manner is extremely tedious and yields a very small amount but results in yarns full of character - ultimately leading to the fabric woven in Wakayama that is supremely soft.
This t-shirt fabric is made with an uneven #10 yarn spun in the same way as the 17oz “Zero” denim.
The weight is impressing 16oz.
Natural color: Purposely not bleached or dyed, its preserved in the natural ecru color and atmosphere of the organic cotton itself.
This color is known as ‘kinari’ in Japanese.
